 I had a beautiful time in Edinburgh this summer with BIRTH by Theatre Re. Two years  in the making, constantly testing the material, changing, sharing, changing again and now finally we have let it loose upon the world and what a response we had. The piece seems to really move people, from the inside it moves me, the constant rhythm and dynamism of the show keeps me firmly on my toes. a lifetime is unfolded and we are really pushed to the limit of that phrase "athletes of the heart". As usual with Edinburgh, it is not just about delivering the show everyday, it is about managing yourself on the inside, softening the inner critic that whirles round the houses pulling at every corner to find how to go deeper, how to make it better. This, this is the hardest thing and is combated this year with a Qi Gung practice I have started and meditation, even so it is hard to keep ones mental health and moral up when the fatigue sets in. I raise a solid glass to us all at theatre re, such a strong and supportive group. here are some nice things people said:
